United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine is seeking a highly qualified professional to fill in a position a Security Guard for its project “European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine”
TERMS OF REFERENCE
Project Title: EU Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine
Post Title: Security Guard
Expected EOD: 1 March 2008
Work schedule: Shift system, including night shifts
Duty Station: Odessa, Ukraine
Duties and responsibilities:
Under direct supervision of the Security Officer the incumbent will discharge the following functions:
Patrols and maintains security of the EUBAM office premises and grounds, including overnight guard duties, and reports any irregularities to the Security Officer;
Responds to emergencies affecting safety оf the premises and notifies supervisor and emergency services. Immediately undertakes all appropriate actions to respond to emergency;
In event of any emergency follows the procedures outlined in the EUBAM Security Plan;
Conduct after-hours security inspections for the building security, fire security, and safety purposes;
Checks that all office machines, air conditioners, lights, etc., are turned off after working hours;
Controls admissions of authorized personnel and movements of project property into and out of the premises;
Assists receptionist in attending the guest and directing them to respective personnel;
Prevents unwanted visitors form entering the building;
Makes sure that all office doors and windows are closed during night-time;
Controls entrance of visitors through the main entrance after the visual identification of the individual has been performed;
Maintains Book of Incidences;
Monitors all office keys during the duty;
Keeps track of all the outgoing and incoming vehicles beyond the office working hours;
Performs other duties and functions when requested by supervisor.
Basic requirements for the incumbent:
• Completion of secondary school;
• At least 1 year of progressive experience, preferably in international environment;
• Knowledge of English languages is an asset;
• Ability to work in team;
• Computer literacy is an asset.
