United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine is seeking highly qualified freelance Translators/Interpreters for the roster of experts to be used on when-needed basis

Possible locations: mainly Odessa and/or Kiev or any other location throughout Ukraine

The rostered Translators/Interpreters will be expected to provide high quality oral and written translations/interpretations for EUBAM from/into English, Russian and Ukrainian languages at various events, including high profile meetings with State Customs and State Border Guard Services of Ukraine.

Basic requirements for the incumbent:

• MA degree in foreign languages with English as major;
• Excellent knowledge and fluency in English, Russian and Ukrainian languages;
• At least 5 years of experience in written translation and oral interpretation (both simultaneous and consecutive);
• Previous work experience in border management and customs related fields would be an asset;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational and time management skills are must;
• Presentable look;
• Advanced computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet and publishing programs;
• Flexibility and ability to work harmoniously in international and multicultural environment.
